Ambassador Toshiya Hoshino, a Councilor of the Kyoto Peacebuilding Center (KPC), has started working as the President of the Japan Society for United Nations Studies. On June 13, he opened the annual meeting of the JAUNS conference and introduced Professor Sukehiro Hasegawa, Director of KPC and Vice President of the United Nations Association of Japan to deliver the keynote address at the JAUNS annual meeting which was held at the University of Tsukuba on June 13, 2026.
